It's that time of year again!!!

Hi ladies,  so sorry I have been away so long.  Summer is a very busy time of year here, like for many of you.  We had a pretty good one except for a few mishaps... like almost getting my head squished in our trailer... yep that is right, as we were putting it up the cable broke and the tent trailer closed very quickly!!!!  I was very lucky I was not hurt.  Anyways, I have been playing a bit with the new and great stuff in the mini.  Once I get the kiddies off to school I will post one of my favorite cards I've made.
So besides being the time of year for the kiddies to be off to school.... the HOLIDAY MINI starts today!!!!  I love fall and Christmas time and once again Stampin' Up! has outdone themselves.  If you have not recived your mini yet in the mail you can click on the catalogue picture here to see all the great new products.  Enjoy!!!

For this card I got to play around with stamps and the matching punch... love that.  I love that Stampin' Up! makes my life so easy!!!!  I used a bit of DSP to brighten up the card .  I really like using the diecuts from the Tasteful Trim die on cards and pages, just to give it the perfect look.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

What a nice evening!!!!

Last night I met a great group of ladies at a workshop.  One of them reminds me so much of me, curious and wants to see it all.  I mean this in a good way of course.  I was always so excited to see new things which I am lucky because being a Stampin' Up! Demo I get the chance to see new products before it is available.  Not only do I get to see and purchase new products beforehand, I get to earn money making cards and showing scrapbooking pages to others.  I love being a demo and getting to use such great products.  If you would like information on becoming a Demo let me know because right now there is a sweet deal on!!!
So last night, I had taken a bunch of my new cards to show them and they really seemed to like them.  Especially the ones made with the Snow Much Fun  stamp set.  I just realised I have not taken pictures of them yet. I will try to do that this week.  I have been very busy like all of you with the children home from school and I apologise for not posting as often as I would like.  I promise when school starts I will be better.
Today is a difficult day for my family, as it the marks the day that my dad passed away seven years ago...  Time passes so quickly and we really need to take the time to be with the ones we love.  We learned the hard way not to take people and things for granted.  I miss you dad. Love you.

Baja Flower

Here is a card I made awhile back that I meant to get posted....  I really like how this card turned out.

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral 113734
CS: Baja Breeze 111352,
Not Quite Navy 100867, &
Crumb Cake 120953
DSP: Elegant Soirée 115657
Classic Ink Pad:
Soft Suede 115657
Jewel: Basic Pearls 119247 (3 big ones)
Ribbon: Seam Binding: Very Vanilla 120999 (approx 11")
Big Shot 113439
Textured Impressions Embossing Folder: Elegant Lines 119277
Dotto 103305
Mini Glue Dots 103683
This card is pretty straight forward... Emboss the background, stamp the image, and glue down the layers.  Now before you glue down the DSP we will do the scrunchy ribbon.  Fray the end of the ribbon and pull on one "hair" of the ribbon while you scrunch up the ribbon length.  When I get about halfway I do the same at the other end, so not to risk pulling the hair out the whole way and losing my scruch!!!  Then I used a couple of glue dots to hold down the ribbon and I wrapped it around the DSP and then I glued down the DSP.
Have a great weeekend!

Time flies!!!

My goodness I can not believe it has been this long since I last posted....Time seems to have gotten away from me.
Since then we have added to our family... we have a new puppy, a girl , Zoe.  She is a sweetheart and has kept me very busy.  She will turn 3 mos next week and is growing fast.  She is a mix between a golden retriever and a german sheppard.  This was quite new to me as I never had a dog before, let alone a puppy.  Wow, I think it is more tiring then a baby!!!  She was getting up in the night at first, only the odd time now.  She wanted to be near me and not left in the baby gated off kitchen, so if I left the room she would start barking.  Let me say I am glad we got her the end of May and not Sept.  As for a few weeks I did not get to see any tv and if it had been  in the fall I would have missed all the premieres!!!  Things are slowly returning to normal.  I have been busy getting ready for the end of school teacher gifts and cards.  I took a couple of pictures today, but I do not have time right now to upload them so it might have to wait till the weekend.
So I will get back to posting again, sorry about that .   Please forgive me!!!  Looks like rain the next few days so I will hopefully get some more time to play with all the great new products from my pre-order.
Have a great day!
